Why Ruth?

The ideal role model for the camp was a great point of discussion – it had to be someone the ladies can identify with and relate to. The life of Esther was considered, but the Lord revealed and confirmed that it must be Ruth. Here are some of the highlights:

  1. Ruth means Friendship – Female Friend
  2. Her primary virtue is that she moves from Tenacity to Purpose
  3. She is a woman who is steadfast
  4. There is a lot of similarities between the bride Ruth and the bride Esther
  5. If you add a “T” in front of Ruth, ‘T’Ruth is spelled, and this is fatefully important because TRUTH is the Person who sets us free.

(Between God and us, between husbands and wives, between parents and children, between Jew and Gentile, between different Schools / Hostels on Campus, in friendships and in homes)
